O presente trabalho incide principalmente na cooperação policial entre a Polícia
Nacional de São Tomé e Príncipe e a Polícia de Segurança Pública para área de formação.
Trata-se de uma temática com marcos importantes entre a Polícia Nacional e a
Polícia de Segurança Pública. Na verdade, existe laço histórico entre São Tomé e Príncipe
e Portugal o que faz unir cada vez mais esses dois povos.
Ora, o governo Santomense e o governo Português têm cooperado em diversas
áreas ao longo dos anos. Embora a cooperação policial pode ser interna ou internacional,
contudo foi mais profundada cooperação policial, particularmente na área de formação,
quer a formação técnica quer a formação superior existente entre estas duas organizações
policiais.
Conclui-se que a formação é fundamental para o desenvolvimento das
organizações. Por outro lado, vivemos num mundo contemporâneo em que se torna difícil
atingirmos objetivos de forma insolada, logo, há necessidade cada vez mais de
cooperamos quer a nível interno como a nível internacional. Neste sentido, a Polícia de
Segurança Pública têm mantido uma cooperação solida ao longo dos anos e com maior
incidência na área de formação em diversas áreas aos quadros da Polícia Nacional sem
exceção de categorias.
Portanto, é de reconhecer que através da existência dessa cooperação tem
contribuído de modo inevitável nas melhorias das atividades desenvolvidas pela Polícia
Nacional, no sentido de alcançar os objetivos almejados pela instituição.
The present work focuses mainly on police cooperation between the National Police of São Tomé and Príncipe and the Public Security Police in the area of training. This is a theme with important milestones between the National Police and the Public Security Police. In fact, there is a historical bond between São Tomé and Príncipe and Portugal, which brings these two peoples closer together. Now, the Santomean government and the Portuguese government have cooperated in several areas over the years. Although police cooperation can be internal or international, however, police cooperation has been more profound, particularly in the area of training, both technical and higher education training existing between these two police organizations. It is concluded that training is fundamental to the development of organizations. On the other hand, we live in a contemporary world in which it is difficult to achieve objectives independently, so there is an increasing need to cooperate both domestically and internationally. In this sense, the Public Security Police have maintained a solid cooperation over the years and with greater incidence in the area of training in various areas to the staff of the National Police without exception of categories. Therefore, it should be recognized that through the existence of this cooperation has inevitably contributed to the improvement of the activities developed by the National Police, in order to achieve the objectives sought by the institution.
