| dc.description.abstract | Nos últimos anos, tem havido um crescente abandono dos edifícios no centro histórico de Caminha e em particular na Rua Direita. Isso deveu-se à alteração de uso dos edifícios, os quais sofreram grande transformação; o que levou a um abandono por parte dos seus residentes, assim como a uma degradação acelerada do edificado. Uma vez que está vigente um “programa de reabilitação”, incentivando à realização de intervenções na ARU do centro histórico de Caminha, surge a necessidade de verificar se as intervenções patrimoniais de alteração de uso que têm ocorrido na Rua Direita seguem as bases teóricas do património e se contribuíram para a preservação deste conjunto edificado. O desconhecimento acerca das intervenções que têm sido realizadas justifica a importância da presente investigação. Esta investigação tem como objeto de estudo as intervenções patrimoniais ocorridas na Rua Direita de Caminha, que originaram novos usos. No primeiro objetivo pretende-se inventariar as intervenções patrimoniais que implicaram uma alteração de uso na Rua Direita de Caminha. Posteriormente, com o segundo objetivo, pretende-se avaliar o impacto das intervenções com alteração de uso na preservação do conjunto edificado da Rua Direita. Numa primeira fase, foi realizado o enquadramento teórico referente aos principais temas abordados nesta dissertação de mestrado, seguindo-se de uma contextualização onde se analisou o desenvolvimento da Vila de Caminha e da Rua Direita. Posteriormente, foi realizado um inventário de todas as intervenções realizadas na Rua Direita, selecionando-se para análise as intervenções com alteração de uso no edifício. Após a seleção dos casos de estudo, foi elaborada uma análise individual e uma análise comparativa. Com base na revisão da literatura, na análise de entrevistas e na observação direta dos casos de estudo, foi possível realizar uma interpretação e uma sistematização mais profunda e refletir acerca dos resultados obtidos. Para prevenir o estado de degradação e abandono do edificado, é necessário proporcionar aos edifícios, um uso. Verificou-se que, por vezes, esse uso resulta em intervenções que comprometem a integridade do conjunto edificado. A utilização deste tipo de edifício exige que o mesmo acompanhe e se adapte às necessidades de conforto atuais, sendo que, por vezes, as intervenções ao adaptarem o edifício a estas condições, não conseguem preservar os valores patrimoniais identificados. Assim, muitas das intervenções têm implicado uma reconstrução integral do interior do edifício, sem respeitarem os fundamentos teóricos do património. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT In recent years, there has been an increasing abandonment of buildings in the historic centre of Caminha and in particular on Rua Direita. This was due to the change in use of the buildings, which underwent a major transformation, which led to an abandonment by its residents, as well as an accelerated degradation of the building. Since a “rehabilitation program” is in place, encouraging interventions in the ARU* of the historic centre of Caminha, the need arises to verify whether the heritage interventions for alteration of use that have occurred in Rua Direita follow the theoretical bases of heritage and contributed to the preservation of this built complex. The lack of knowledge about the interventions that have been carried out justifies the importance of the present investigation. This investigation has as an object of study, heritage interventions with new uses, which occurred on Rua Direita in Caminha. The first objective intends to address an inventory of the heritage interventions that implied a change in use on Rua Direita in Caminha. Subsequently, the second objective aims to assess the impact of interventions with alteration of use in the preservation of the buildings in Rua Direita. In a first phase, the theoretical framework regarding the main themes addressed in this master's thesis was carried out, followed by a contextualization where the development of Vila de Caminha and Rua Direita was analysed. Subsequently, an inventory of all interventions carried out in Rua Direita was addressed, selecting for analysis, interventions with alteration of use in the building. After the selection of the case studies, an individual analysis and a comparative analysis were elaborated. Based on the literature review, the analysis of interviews and the direct observation of the case studies, it was possible to carry out a deeper interpretation and systematization and to reflect on the results obtained. To prevent the state of degradation and abandonment of the building, it is necessary to provide buildings with a use. It was found that sometimes, this use results in interventions that compromise the integrity of the built set. The use of this type of building requires that it accompany and adapt to the current comfort needs, and sometimes, interventions in adapting the building to these conditions, fail to preserve the identified heritage values. Thus, many of the interventions have involved an integral reconstruction of the interior of the building, without respecting the theoretical framework of heritage. *ARU - Área de Reabilitação Urbana .
