Abstract(s)
A presente investigação pretende propor contributos que possam auxiliar na edificação de Sistemas Terrestres Não Tripulados no Exército Português. O objeto de estudo são os Sistemas Terrestres Não Tripulados. Para isso, recorreu-se a uma metodologia de raciocínio indutivo, assente numa estratégia de investigação qualitativa, com um desenho de pesquisa assente em dois estudos de caso, Alemanha e Espanha. Através da análise documental, estudos de caso e entrevistas, identificou-se a tipologia de missões e características necessárias para a edificação de Sistemas Terrestres Não Tripulados no Exército Português.
À luz dos Vetores de Desenvolvimento doutrina e material, concluiu-se que o Exército Português deve:
Rever a doutrina de emprego e as missões das unidades, ajustando as Normas de Execução Permanente das forças e alguns procedimentos para integrar e tirar todo o proveito dos Sistemas Terrestres Não Tripulados;
Dar prioridade à aquisição de um sistema portátil, de controlo remoto, com capacidade de recolha e transmissão de imagem em tempo real, com recurso a câmara de visão noturna, térmica e de infravermelhos, seguindo a linha orientadora do Exército espanhol e alemão.
Abstract: This research intent is to suggest contributions that can support the building of Unmanned Ground Vehicles capacity in the Portuguese Army. The object of study is the Unmanned Ground Vehicles. A inductive reasoning methodology was privileged, based on a qualitative research strategy, with a research design based on two case studies, Germany and Spain. Through documentary analysis, case studies and interviews, it was identified the type of missions and necessary characteristics for the building of Unmanned Ground Vehicles capacity in the Portuguese Army.
Taking into consideration the development vectors of doctrine and material development, the Portuguese Army should:
Review the employment doctrine and the units’ missions, adjusting the Standard Operations Procedures of Forces and some procedures to integrate and take full advantage of the Unmanned Ground Vehicles;
Prioritize the acquisition of a portable, remotely controlled system with real time image collection and transmission capability, using infrared, thermal and night vision cameras, following the guidelines of the Spanish and German armies.
