| dc.description.abstract | The present study aims to identify key contributions toward the implementation of an Operational Training model for the Future Land Force, within the framework of the Next Generation Land Force. Employing a qualitative methodology and inductive reasoning, grounded in document analysis and case study, the research examines the operational components of Training within the Army, the role of Training Capability Development in force generation— particularly regarding Medium Forces—and identifies best practices adopted by counterpart military forces in Spain and Lithuania. The findings reveal weaknesses in the Operational Training system, notably the underutilization of simulation technologies, the limited maturity of the Tactical Training, Simulation and Certification Centre, and disproportionate budgetary allocations across the various Capability Development Requirements system, within the DOTMLPFII framework. Furthermore, the absence of standardization in the formulation of Capability Implementation Plans undermines the effectiveness of the capability requirement Training. In contrast, international practices emphasise the strategic importance of simulation as a cross-cutting element in training and the preservation of operational qualifications. The conclusion drawn from this analysis is that the enhancement of Capability Requirement Training—through the progressive integration of simulation into Training, enhancement of technical expertise, and the adoption of a balanced and structured approach to capability development—is a decisive factor in elevating the Operational Training of the Future Land Forces. | eng |
