| dc.description.abstract | O paradigma atual que envolve o universo empresarial e a inovação tecnológica está em constante mutação, o evoluir da ciência impacta cada vez mais as empresas de todas as escalas e o acesso a informação tem exigido um reajustamento constante por parte dos gestores. O presente estudo analisa a perceção do impacto da implementação de Inteligência Artificial (IA) nas pequenas e médias empresas (PMEs) do setor têxtil em Portugal. Num contexto de rápida evolução tecnológica, as organizações têxteis enfrentam desafios significativos e oportunidades decorrentes da adoção de soluções baseadas em IA. O objetivo central desta pesquisa é compreender como a IA está a remodelar as operações, estratégias e competitividade das empresas têxteis em solo português. O trabalho inicia-se com uma revisão da literatura sobre a interseção entre a IA e a indústria têxtil, destacando as principais tendências, ferramentas e aplicações relevantes. Posteriormente, realiza-se uma análise do panorama atual das empresas têxteis em Portugal, investigando a sua prontidão e disposição para adotar tecnologias baseadas em IA. Os resultados obtidos visam identificar os benefícios concretos da implementação da IA, bem como os desafios específicos enfrentados pelas empresas têxteis em Portugal. | dc.description.abstract | The current paradigm surrounding the business world and technological innovation is in constant flux. Scientific advancements increasingly impact companies of all sizes, and the access to information demands continuous adjustments from managers. This study examines the perception of the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) implementation in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within the textile sector in Portugal. In a context of rapid technological evolution, textile organizations face significant challenges and opportunities arising from the adoption of AI-based solutions. The primary objective of this research is to understand how AI is reshaping operations, strategies, and competitiveness within the Portuguese textile industry. The study begins with a literature review on the intersection of AI and the textile industry, highlighting key trends, tools, and relevant applications. Subsequently, an analysis of the current landscape of textile companies in Portugal is conducted, exploring their readiness and willingness to adopt AI-based technologies. The findings aim to identify the tangible benefits of AI implementation as well as the specific challenges faced by textile companies in Portugal. This study contributes to the literature by providing insights into the ongoing digital transformation of the Portuguese textile sector and offers practical recommendations for managers and decision-makers. | pt_PT |
