O presente relatório é referente à componente clínica dos ciclos de estudos de Mestrados em
Enfermagem Médico-cirúrgica conducentes à atribuição do título profissional de Enfermeiro
Especialista, na área de Enfermagem à Pessoa em Situação Perioperatória, visa a apresentação
e a descrição das atividades desenvolvidas durante a realização dos ensinos clínicos.
Este trabalho tem como objetivo evidenciar todo o processo de desenvolvimento das
competências que são comuns e específicas do Enfermeiro Especialista e alicerçar as mesmas
ao projeto de estágio. Ou seja, no desenvolvimento de competências não técnicas, com enfoque
para o enfermeiro circulante. O desenvolvimento destas competências garante melhores
condições para o ambiente de trabalho, sendo promotor da saúde e segurança de todos.
O bloco operatório é um ambiente de alto risco e de elevada complexidade, no qual ocorrem
cerca de 50% dos eventos adversos de um hospital. A análise dos factos demonstrou que a
maioria desses eventos está associado a falhas nas competências não técnicas (Kalantari et al.,
2020; Wevling et al., 2023). O papel do enfermeiro circulante é fundamental na segurança dos
clientes no bloco operatório, porém, estes apresentam várias lacunas no que concerne às
competências não técnicas (Kalantari et al., 2020). O projeto de estágio: “Tornar visível o
invisível – Make visible the invisible: As competências não técnicas do enfermeiro circulante”, foi
desenvolvido, elaborado e consolidado em contexto clínico, no sentido de desenvolver essas
mesmas competências. Deste modo, foi realizada uma Scoping Review no sentido de identificar
as competências não técnicas.
As competências não técnicas do enfermeiro circulante que emergiram na sequência da Scoping
Review e que reuniram consenso são: a Comunicação, Liderança, Consciência da Situação,
Trabalho em Equipa e Gestão de Tarefas. A implementação de estratégias, pelos enfermeiros
especialistas, que reduzam incidentes de segurança é uma aposta inequıv́ oca na qualidade na
área da saúde. Assim sendo e perante as referências analisadas, foi elaborado algoritmo para
situações de crise e a criação de um modelo de briefing pré-operatório com base dos resultados
obtidos.

report refers to the clinical component of the master’s degree in medical-Surgical Nursing leading to the professional title of Specialist Nurse, in the perioperative area, and aims to present and describe the activities carried out during clinical training. The purpose of this work is to highlight the process of developing the competences that are common and specific to the Specialist Nurse and to base them on the internship project. In other words, the development of non-technical skills, with a focus on the circulating nurse. Developing these skills guarantees better conditions for the working environment, promoting health and safety. The operating room is a high-risk and a highly complex environment in which around 50% of a hospital's adverse events occur. Analysis of the facts has shown that most of these events are associated with failures in non-technical skills (Kalantari et al., 2020; Wevling et al., 2023). The role of the circulating nurse is fundamental to the safety of clients in the operating room, but they have several gaps in non-technical skills (Kalantari et al., 2020). The internship project: "Make visible the invisible: The non-technical skills of the circulating nurse", was developed, elaborated and consolidated in a clinical context to develop these skills. A scoping review was carried out to identify the non-technical skills. The non-technical skills of the circulating nurse that emerged from the Scoping Review are Communication, Leadership, Situational Awareness, Teamwork and Task Management. The implementation of strategies by specialist nurses to reduce safety incidents is a commitment to quality in healthcare. An algorithm was developed for crisis situations and a preoperative briefing model was created based on the results obtained.
