Abstract(s)
Este projeto surge com o propósito de responder às
necessidades atuais: a procura pela exclusividade em peças
de mobiliário e a preservação das gerações futuras. Duas
necessidades, à partida, sem qualquer relação. A junção de
três subáreas do Design e as práticas relacionadas com
sustentabilidade, vão revelar hábitos de consumo
conscientes e integrar a sociedade num conceito invulgar.
A MEL apresenta duas coleções distintas, desde a escolha
da sua origem até ao processo de desenvolvimento e
envolvimento com o cliente. O carácter único da marca,
resulta da incorreta preservação das peças, que cada cliente
dispõe na sua habitação. Esta particularidade, assegura a
produção em pequena escala, o que acrescenta valor aos
novos produtos, inerentes à coleção de reaproveitamento,
tornando-os em peças singulares. A coleção proveniente de
fontes sustentáveis, será produzida com qualidade capaz de
suavizar os comportamentos prejudiciais ao ambiente.
O intuito da criação desta marca de empresa passa pelo
uníssono entre o ser humano e o meio ambiente.
This project arises with the purpose of responding to current needs: the search for exclusivity in pieces of furniture and the preservation of future generations. Two needs, from the outset, without any relation. The combination of three sub-areas of Design and practices related to sustainability, will reveal conscious consumption habits and integrate society in an unusual concept. MEL presents two distinct collections, from the choice of origin to the process of development and involvement with the customer. The unique character of the brand results from the incorrect preservation of the pieces, which each customer has in their home. This particularity ensures small-scale production, which adds value to the new products, inherent to the reuse collection, making them unique pieces. The collection coming from sustainable sources, will be produced with quality capable of softening harmful behaviors to the environment. The purpose of creating this company brand is the unison between the human being and the environment.
