O percurso de construção de competências especializadas em enfermagem médico-cirúrgica: Do doente critico ao doente paliativo

Abstract(s)
O presente Relatório de Mestrado dá resposta ao exposto no Regulamento do
Curso de Mestrado em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica da Escola Superior de Enfermagem
São José de Cluny bem como no Decreto de Lei n.º 74/2006 de 24 de março do Ministério
da Ciência, Tecnologia e Ensino Superior, no que se refere à concessão do grau de Mestre,
sendo necessária a aprovação em todas as unidades curriculares que integram o plano de
estudos do Curso e a elaboração e aprovação de uma dissertação, de trabalho de projeto ou
de um relatório de estágio.
A opção escolhida foi o relatório de estágio. Assim, através da sua elaboração
procurei demonstrar o caminho efetuado e o trabalho desenvolvido ao longo do Estágio I, o
Estágio II e o Estágio de III - Opção, evidenciando as competências científicas, relacionais,
técnicas e éticas aprofundadas e desenvolvidas no âmbito dos cuidados especializados em
enfermagem médico-cirúrgica, atestando ainda as competências de análise critico-reflexiva
das situações de aprendizagem decorrentes das vivências nos contextos de estágio.
O Estágios I decorreu num Serviço de Urgência Polivalente e o Estágio II
sucedeu-se num Serviço de Cuidados Intensivos Polivalentes. O Estágio III, sendo uma
opção pessoal, e após dois estágios dirigidos ao doente crítico, optei por direcionar o meu
foco para os cuidados de enfermagem especializados à pessoa/família com necessidades
paliativas.
A preferência por esta área específica do cuidar, constituindo um ramo da
Especialização em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica, deveu-se ao facto de ter uma
importância crescente nos sistemas de saúde e na sociedade em geral, com significativas
repercussões na qualidade dos cuidados à pessoa em fim de vida, mas também por ser uma
área de grande interesse pessoal.
As metodologias utilizadas na construção deste relatório de estágio são a análise e
a reflexão individual, a evidência científica e os referenciais da profissão.
O relatório está organizado em três grandes capítulos, sendo realçadas em cada
um, as competências comuns e específicas previstas pela Ordem dos Enfermeiros para a
atribuição do título de Especialista em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica.
This Master report it´s a answer to the Master Course Regulation on Medical- Surgical Nursing on Higher School of Health São José de Cluny as the Law n.º 74/2006 de 24 th march of Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education, to get the Master Degree. To get that its necessary the positive approval on all classes of the course and the achievement and approval of one dissertation, writted work or internship report. The chosen choice was the internship report. So trough this work I tried to demonstrate the done path and the work developed over the Internship I, Internship II and the Internship III – Chose, evidencing the scientific, interpersonal, technical and etical competences, developed on the specialized nurse medical-surgical care, certifying critical reflexive analysis competences too trough learning lived situations on the internship context. Internship I, took place in a Multipurpose Emergency Department and Internship II happened in a Multipurpose Intensive Care Service. Internship III, being a personal option and after two stages directed to the critical patient, I chose to direct my focus to the specialized nursing care to the person/family with palliative needs. The preference for this specific care area, constituting a branch of the Medical- Surgical Nursing Specialization, was due to the fact that it has an increasing importance in health systems and in the general society, with significant repercussions on the quality of care for the end-life person, but also because it is an area of great personal interest. The report is organized into three major chapters, each of which emphasizes the common and specific competences provided by the Order of Nurses for the award of the tittle of Specialist in Medical and Surgical Nursing. The methodologies used in the construction of this internship report are individual analysis and reflection, scientific evidence and the references of the profession.
