Abstract(s)
1 obteve resultados superiores.
Objective: To evaluate the use of revascularization therapy, the use of triantibiotic paste (TAP) in this therapy, including its method of manipulation and application by Dentists / Stomatologists in the intervention area of Endodontics, associates of the Portuguese Society of Stomatology and Dentistry (SPEMD). It is also intended to compare the extent of root canal filling, presence of voids and the relative average density through different preparation methods and means of application of PTA, through an in vitro study. Materials and Methods: An online questionnaire was conducted, aimed at all SPEMD non-student members. At the same time, 60 upper incisors were selected, which were distributed in 5 groups: Groups 1 and 2 - application of TAP, prepared with serum and applied to the root canal with syringe + needle in Group 1 and in Group 2 with syringe + needle and lentulo; Groups 3 and 4: preparation of TAP with propylene glycol and application with syringe + needle in Group 3 and in Group 4 with syringe + needle and lentulo; Group 5: preparation of TAP with physiological saline solution and placement with MTA applicator and vertical condenser. The extent of root canal filling, presence of empty spaces and the relative mean density were evaluated using a digital radiography system. Results: According to the online questionnaire, 44.9% resorts to revascularization therapy, 48.6% resorts to TAP, being the needle + syringe the most used materials, with 40% of the answers. Concerning the relative average density, Group 1 obtained superior results. The Kruskal-Wallis test does not show statistically significant differences between the 5 groups (P>0.05), regarding the extent of canal filling and presence of voids. Conclusions: Revascularization therapy is not the first treatment option taken by respondents. The lack of universal protocols for the stages of this therapy is one of the reasons described in the literature. The vehicles and means of application of TAP used did not statistically interfere with the results, since they were similar.
