Abstract(s)
The issue of domestic violence encompasses a diverse host of violent practices of different nature, extent and depth of often disastrous results for the victims, to which the prevention and combat, arising precisely from its complex and multifaceted character, has been a challenge for society, very particularly for institutions that deal expressly or indirectly with this phenomenon. This research addresses one of the possible methods of intervention in the prevention and combating domestic violence: networking, embodied in the seat of CONTIGO Program. In the scope of the development of networking, the present study deals with the measurability of the contribution of the Polícia de Segurança Pública (PSP) in this institutional interaction, measured by the representatives of partner organizations, and, as such, aims to realize not only the perceived importance of the presence the police organization in the program, but also how this collaboration it´s regarded as contributing to the effectiveness and networking efficiency. Anchored in the theoretical framework around the concept of domestic violence, on the one hand, and networking, on the other, the research continues towards an empirical study, based on interviews with representatives of partner organizations of the PSP, whose processing and analysis allow us to conclude about the major role played by the police institution in the program, contributing at the same time, to meet its goal, via essentially the capacity of the protective action of the victim, through the implemented coordination mechanisms; and the monetization of network resources, thanks to the interinstitutional coordination, facilitating the flow of informational and communicational Program.
