Abstract(s)
O presente Relatório de Trabalho de Projecto resultou da frequência do 2º Curso de
Mestrado em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica de natureza profissionalizante, realizado com
o propósito da obtenção do grau de mestre em enfermagem, na Escola Superior de Saúde
do Instituto Politécnico de Setúbal. A sua concepção teve como alicerce o trabalho
desenvolvido durante a frequência do 1º Curso de Pós-Licenciatura de Especialização em
Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica (CPLEE-MC), no contexto das Unidades Curriculares
Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica I, II e III e dos Estágios I, II e III. Os três estágios
decorreram numa unidade hospitalar na área metropolitana de Lisboa, entre 2011/01/12 e
2011/02/06, 2011/02/08 e 2011/05/08, 2011/06/22 e 2011/11/27.
Durante este percurso foram desenvolvidos dois projectos. O Projecto de Intervenção em
Serviço (PIS) que abordou a temática Infecção Associada aos Cuidados de Saúde (IACS).
As IACS são uma realidade transversal a todas as unidades de saúde à escala global,
provocam o agravamento do estado de saúde dos utentes, aumentam o tempo de
internamento, a mortalidade e morbilidade e consequentemente adicionam custos
económicos às instituições, utentes e famílias. A escolha desta área de intervenção
prendeu-se com dois factores, ser uma área em que o Enfermeiro Mestre em Enfermagem
Médico-Cirúrgica detém conhecimento, aptidão para adoptar uma atitude proactiva,
pedagógica e sensibilizadora dos pares neste contexto, ser uma área que espelha
amplamente a qualidade dos cuidados que prestamos em articulação e complementaridade
com os demais profissionais de saúde. O Projecto de Aprendizagem Clínica (PAC),
colocou em evidência o desenvolvimento e aperfeiçoamento das competências de Mestre
em enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica, no cuidado ao utente crítico e sua família, na formação
dos pares e equipa multidisciplinar na mesma área temática e na segurança de todos os
profissionais, utentes e famílias.
Através de uma metodologia descritiva o relatório foi-se edificando com a análise crítica e
reflectida do caminho realizado.
Abstract: This Report Work Project resulted from the 2nd Professional Master`s Degree in Medical – Surgical Nursing, performed with purpose of obtaining a master´s degree in nursing of the Escola Superior de Saúde do Instituto Politécnico de Setúbal. The Report was based on the work done during the frequency of the 1st Post – Graduate Specialization in Medical – Surgical Nursing, in the context of Curriculum Units Medical – Surgical Nursing I, II, III, were held in a Public Hospital from the Lisbon metropolitan area, between 2011/01/12 and 2011/02/6, 2011/02/08 and 2011/05/08, 2011/06/22 and 2011/11/27. Two projects were developed during this route. The Department Intervention Project addressed the subject Healthcare – Associated Infections. This is a cross-cutting reality affecting healthcare systems worldwide. This problem significantly contributes worsening of health status of users. Increase the hospital stay, mortality, morbidity and consequently enlarge economic costs to institutions, patients and families. The choice of this intervention area was arrested with two factors; it is an area which the Master Nurse in Medical – Surgical has knowledge, ability to take a proactive and pedagogical approach with peers’ nurses, it is an area that amply reflects the quality of nursing care we provide in articulation and complementarity with other health care professionals. The Clinical learning Project, made evident the development and improvement of Medical-Surgical Master Nurse skills in critical care to patient and their family, peers and multidisciplinary team formation and the safety of all professionals, patients and families. Through a descriptive methodology, this report was built with reflective and critical analysis of the way done.
