Abstract(s)
Os revestimentos são de grande importância na obtenção de maior longevidade dos materiais. No presente estudo são efetuados vários ensaios ao Cermet WC – 12Co, depositado sobre o método HVOF e comparadas as suas características de resistência ao desgaste com o Cermet 80Ni – 20Cr e o Aço Inoxidável 316L. Para tal foram realizados testes de desgaste do tipo de deslizamento recíproco onde amostras planas foram sujeitas à ação de um contra corpo esférico de alumina.
Neste caso o Cermet estudado apresentou melhores desempenhos que os restantes materiais no que respeita à resistência ao desgaste, pelo que podemos concluir que o revestimento de Carboneto de Tungsténio com 12% de Cobalto é mais indicado para utilizações onde o desgaste tenha forte presença.

In the present study case, several tests were performed on the Cermet WC - 12Co, deposited by HVOF method and compared its wear resistance characteristics with Cermet 80Ni - 20Cr and Stainless Steel 316L. To this end, wear tests of the reciprocal sliding type were performed where flat samples were subjected to the action of a spherical alumina counter body. The Cermet studied showed better performance than the other materials in terms of wear resistance, so we can conclude that the coating of Tungsten Carbide with 12% Cobalt is more suitable for uses in wear is present.
