Abstract(s)
Especialista.
In the context of the Professional Nature Internship with Report - Module I and II, the development of an internship report is required. The report aims to present a description and reflective analysis of the journey undertaken during the internships, with the major objective being to develop the competencies of a Specialist Nurse in Rehabilitation Nursing (EEER) and Master. Throughout the various internship contexts, the general goal was defined as developing scientific, technical, ethical, and human competencies necessary to provide specialized care to individuals with rehabilitation needs. To achieve this goal, specific objectives and activities were defined, adjusted to the characteristics of the context and the target individuals in care. The theme developed transversally throughout the internships was related to the “Intervention of the EEER in empowering individuals with bladder elimination disorders,” as bladder elimination issues, such as urinary incontinence, urinary retention, and urinary tract infections, are common complications in hospitalized individuals and can significantly alter their quality of life and overall recovery. The nursing practice was grounded in Dorothea Orem’s Self-Care Deficit Theory, as individuals with compromised bladder elimination are unable to manage their actual needs and ensure self-care. For the construction of this report, a descriptive and critical-reflective methodology was employed, involving the presentation and analysis of the experiences, supported by scientific evidence, which facilitates the acquisition of competencies as a Master and Specialist Nurse.
