Este trabalho enquadra-se no ciclo de estudos da Academia Militar, tendo em vista a aplicação
dos métodos científicos aos temas aprovados e escolhidos pelos alunos. O tema desenvolvido
nesta investigação e que se prende com a "A Reorganização Territorial da Guarda Nacional Republicana e a Fiscalização Rodoviária" foi analisado na perspectiva de conhecer as
alterações verificadas nos Comandos Territoriais e Destacamentos de Trânsito após a reestruturação da GNR.
Como em todas as reorganizações institucionais a intenção é modificar estruturas e procedimentos, promovendo uma melhor gestão de meios humanos e materiais, sempre com o objectivo de melhorar o rendimento da Organização.
A pesquisa foi baseada em bibliografia literária, legislação e sítios credenciados da internet, que permitiram assegurar a qualidade da análise teórica, que associada à investigação de campo possibilitaram reconhecer as alterações verificadas em diversos pontos no Comando Territorial e Destacamento Trânsito, levando a concluir que a integração dos Destacamentos de Trânsito no dispositivo territorial não trouxe mais-valias para a fiscalização rodoviária.
Abstract This work is fitted in the cycle of studies of the Military Academy, in view of the application of the scientific methods to the subjects approved and chosen for the pupils. The subject developed in this investigation regards "The Territorial Reorganization of Guarda Nacional Republicana and the Road control" and it was analyzed in the perspective of knowing the changes that occurred in the Territorial Commands and Traffic Detachments, after the reorganization of GNR. As in all the institutional reorganizations the intention is to modify structures and procedures, promoting a more suitable management of human resources and materials, always with the objective of improving the income of the Organization. The research was based on literary bibliography, legislation and credential websites, that had allowed to assure the quality of the theoretical analysis, which associated to the field investigation made possible to recognize the modifications verified in different points of the Territorial Command and Traffic Detachment, leading has to conclude that the incorporation of the Traffic Detachment in the local territorial device didn´t brought significant benefits to road control.
