Abstract(s)
Abstract: The relationship between architecture and physical space and the emergency and psychological space variable will be the end of this investigation. Therefore, the form of such a building can be adapted to the variables of its users and alterations or developments that this type of public service has had in terms of protocols and methodologies, and in its parallel to city development. Firefighters in Vigo, in his long service to the city, have found that the solutions applied in its two parks, Balaidos and Teis have failed to eliminate the program and operational deficiencies that has had and are maintained today. In developing the research analyzes the different variables that affect the environmental comfort of architectural spaces in general, and in particular , the study of the psychological factor firefighter endure during his 24-hour guard in the building, the conditions of the intervention itself and the possibilities architecture can bring the in the design of the project. All this information collection aims to provide a common ground for defining a space for facilities for emergency services , where it melts the administrative , residential, sports use , maneuvering , Industrial ... both day night. The study conclude with solutions on how can architecture contribute well to alleviate the symptoms of stress post- intervention suffered by workers in this sector during working hours , which claim to have a work environment where you can also train, recover of interventions. This research is intended that the dialogue between architecture and this very specific work space is formalized in a real case, " Vigo Park Fire ." Currently, the architecture is applied to emergency services, transfers of all sciences for flexible spaces that are helping to define a more appropriate type and hitherto nonexistent. Based on my experience as a firefighter and my knowledge of architecture, I hope to bring an improvement in this area , improving the working conditions of my classmates.
