Abstract(s)
O objetivo principal do estudo
promoção do sono infantil.
questionário e a experiência profissional e a formação pós-graduada.
do sono infantil.
Infant sleep is a fundamental life activity for child development. The nurse in primary health care at the time of the child health surveillance consultation has the opportunity to carry out health promotion, providing strategies that promote healthy child sleep to parents. The main objective of the study was to find out the level of knowledge of primary health care nurses about promoting children's sleep. An observational and descriptive cross-sectional and correlational study was carried out. The sample consisted of 20 nurses, who work at USF`s in Odivelas. A questionnaire with 17 questions about knowledge and promotion of infant sleep was applied. A nonparametric test was applied between responses to the questionnaire and professional experience and post-graduate training. Respondents had more than 14 years of professional experience and 85% of nurses have postgraduate training. Knowledge about the physiology and promotion of infant sleep had a 95% agreement rate. There was no statistically significant relationship between postgraduate training and length of professional experience with the questions of knowledge of physiology and promotion of children's sleep. Although the results were not significant in the sample studied, there was a high level of knowledge and cannot be extrapolated to a larger sample with the same characteristics.
