Ao longo dos anos tem surgido nas sociedades mais desenvolvidas, uma nova forma de englobar as populações nos serviços que garantem o aumento do sentimento de segurança. Um dos instrumentos utilizados é os Contratos Locais de Segurança.
Pretende-se, assim, estudar a relação da Polícia com as diversas entidades que compõem os Contratos Locais de Segurança, através da análise de dados e entrevistas, apurando se o modelo de policiamento em vigor na força de segurança competente se adequa às necessidades decorrentes dos Contratos, bem como, saber se esses mesmos Contratos alteram, de alguma maneira, a forma de actuar da Polícia.
Daí a necessidade de querer adequar certos aspectos menos correctos, que podem destabilizar o normal funcionamento da Instituição Policial
Throughout the years, a new way of including the population into the services that assure the increase of security has risen in the developed societies. One of the used tools is the Local Safety Contracts. Therefore, we aim to study the relationship between the Police and the several organizations which are part of the Local Safety Contracts. We will do this by analising data and interviews as a way of finding out whether the Patroling model used within the Portuguese law enforcement is adequated to the Contracts' needs, as well as if the Contracts change, somehow, the way the Police act. Due to this fact, it is necessary to adequate certain aspects which are less correct, as they can be disturbing to the Police normal functioning.
