Abstract(s)
O presente Relatório do Projeto de Investigação, desenvolvido no âmbito da unidade curricular Estágio III, do curso de Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar e Ensino do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, descreve, reflete e analisa a intervenção pedagógica realizada numa turma de 2.º ano do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico. Esta intervenção teve como base a aliança entre a Assembleia de Turma e a Hora do Cidadão, integrada na Educação para a Cidadania, tendo como principal objetivo verificarmos de que forma estas estratégias contribuíram para a prevenção e/ou mediação dos conflitos entre as crianças.
Do ponto de vista metodológico, este estudo enquadra-se numa perspetiva qualitativa, constituindo uma investigação sobre a prática enquadrada na abordagem da investigação-ação. Desta forma, os métodos e procedimentos de recolha de informação basearam-se na intervenção no contexto, como: a observação participante (tendo como forma de registo as notas de campo, as fotografias e os vídeos) e a análise documental. Complementando-se, posteriormente, com os inquéritos por entrevista realizados à professora cooperante e aos alunos com o objetivo de compreendermos as diferentes perceções em relação ao trabalho desenvolvido no decorrer da investigação.
Após a implementação do projeto e análise dos dados recolhidos foi possível verificarmos uma diminuição considerável do número de queixas referidas pelas crianças oralmente, passando a escreve-las exclusivamente no Diário de Turma e a serem discutidas na Assembleia de Turma. Para além disso, verificou-se ao longo do tempo uma melhoria na comunicação e, consequentemente, nas relações interpessoais, em que as crianças começaram a conseguir resolver/relativizar os conflitos existentes entre elas, sendo possível confirmar através das queixas apagadas nos Diários de Turma.
Por sua vez a introdução da Hora do Cidadão proporcionou momentos de reflexão sobre os valores individuais de cada criança, evitando, posteriormente, as consequências nefastas dos conflitos, como por exemplo: a agressividade verbal e física.
Assim é possível concluirmos que a simbiose dos dispositivos aplicados permitiu prevenir e mediar os conflitos no contexto definido, sendo que a Hora do Cidadão possibilitou maioritariamente a prevenção e a Assembleia de Turma a mediação.
The following report on the investigation project developed within Estágio III course of the Master's degree in Preschool Education and First Cycle of the Primary School, describes and analyses the pedagogical intervention conducted on a Second Year class of the Primary School. This intervention was based on a partnership between the Class Council and the Citizen Hour, integrated on the Education for Citizenship, with the main goal of verifying how these strategies contributed for the prevention and/or mediation of conflicts between children. From the methodologic standpoint, this study fits in a qualitative perspective, forming an investigation about the practice framed on the investigation approach. Thus, the methods and procedures of the information gathering were based on the intervention in the context, like: the participant observation (having as registration form the field notes, pictures and videos) and the documental analysis. Later complemented with the interview surveys conducted to the cooperative teacher and the students with the aim of understanding the different perceptions related to the work developed during the investigation. After the implementation of the project and analyses of the data collected we were able to verify a considerable decrease on the number of complaints reported by the children orally, starting to write them down exclusively on the Class Diary to be discussed on the Class Council. Furthermore, it was verified over the time an improvement on the communication and, consequently, on the interpersonal relationships, in which children begun to work out/relativize their existent conflicts, that was possible to confirm through the deleted complaints on the Class Diary. With regard to the introduction of the Citizen Hour, it provided moments of reflection on the individual values of each child, later on avoiding the harmful consequences of the conflicts, for instances: the verbal and physical aggression. Thus it is possible to conclude that the symbiose of the applied devices allowed to prevent and mediate the conflicts on the defined context, being that the Citizen Hour essentially enabled the prevention and the Class Council the mediation.
