O presente trabalho representa uma reflexão sobre a nossa prática docente, em particular como orientadores das aprendizagens, do processo de construção e manutenção das identidades aprendentes que constroem o conhecimento. Este processo de construção realizou-se depois de uma reflexão baseada em determinados aspetos da “Biologia do conhecimento” de Humberto Maturana. É igualmente um relatório de estágio do desenvolvimento da prática letiva na Disciplina de Design Gráfico, do curso Técnico Profissional de Design Gráfico, para o 3º ano de formação, na Escola Secundária Fernão Mendes Pinto. A escolha deste projeto prendeu-se com a necessidade de incentivar os alunos numa constante ativação das diversas identidades que lhes permitem interagir num todo e, ao mesmo tempo, cumprir as diretivas curriculares da disciplina, tendo por meta o combate ao insucesso escolar e por último, o seu abandono.
The purpose of this paper is to present a reflection on our teaching practices, in particular acting as a rudder to one’s learning process when building and maintaining identities that are able to construct knowledge. This building process was made possible after exploring certain concepts described in Humberto Maturana’s “Biology of Cognition”. It also is a report on the development of our work experience as Graphic Design Teachers, a unit in the third year of a Technical/Professional Course on the same subject at Escola Secundária Fernão Mendes Pinto (secondary school). The motivation for this project was tied to the necessity of captivating and encouraging the students in order for them to activate the identities that will make them interact as a whole, and at the same time reach the unit’s curricular goals in order to prevent them being unsuccessful academically, resulting in the removal of themselves from the institution prior to course completion.
