Abstract(s)
procedimento. Afetam principalmente a população infantil.
adversos significativos.

In thisthesis we will talk about one of the alternatives in particular: the conscious sedation pharmacological and non-pharmacological but above all the use of the equimolar mixture oxygen, nitrous oxide (EMONO). It is a good way to remedy anxiety by its ability to reduce it through its analgesic effects and thus avoid the collateral effects that can result from it. This technique consists of inhaling EMONO at doses that allow minimal depression of consciousness, maintenance of the patient's protective reflexes and communication between the two parties. In addition to allowing a better cooperation of children, MEOPA allows a better care of people with a disability, the elderly, making the treatment process more pleasant. EMONO remains an easy to administer and effective technique with no significant adverse effects.
