Abstract(s)
O presente relatório de estágio surge como etapa final de conclusão do ciclo de
estudos referente ao curso de Mestrado em Enfermagem Médico-cirúrgica na área da
Pessoa em Situação Crítica. Este tem como principal objetivo descrever os contributos
adquiridos nos estágios realizados, em serviço de urgência e unidade de cuidados
intensivos, através do pensamento crítico e reflexão fundamentada sobre os cuidados
prestados, o que permitiu a consolidação de boas práticas para a aquisição e
desenvolvimento de competências de enfermeiro mestre e especialista para cuidar da
pessoa em situação crítica e respetiva família com qualidade.
A conexão entre enfermeiro e pessoa passa pela comunicação terapêutica,
proporcionando um cuidado holístico e centrado na pessoa, promovendo a humanização
dos cuidados de enfermagem prestados. A temática em estudo é suportada pela Teoria
das Transições de Meleis e pela Teoria das Relações Interpessoais de Peplau.
Durante a permanência no serviço de urgência e na unidade de cuidados intensivos
são frequentes as complicações na comunicação vivenciadas pela pessoa sob ventilação
mecânica invasiva. A compreensão desta, que está impossibilitada de comunicar
verbalmente, deve constituir uma inquietação por parte dos profissionais de saúde.
Torna-se essencial aprimorar o objetivo geral deste relatório de estágio: desenvolver
competências em enfermagem especializadas na gestão da comunicação terapêutica
com a pessoa sob ventilação mecânica invasiva.
O desenvolvimento de conhecimentos e competências de enfermagem no âmbito da
comunicação com a pessoa sob ventilação mecânica invasiva torna-se fundamental para
a prestação de cuidados de enfermagem de qualidade. A vivência de experiências
distintas ao longo deste curso de mestrado intensificou o meu crescimento profissional,
através do progresso na prestação de cuidados à pessoa em situação emergente, na
antecipação da instabilidade, no desenvolvimento das aprendizagens profissionais
através da melhoria contínua da qualidade e na aplicação dos conhecimentos e
capacidades de resolução de problemas em situações novas.
This internship report appears as the final stage of completing the cycle of studies relating to the master’s degree in Medical-Surgical Nursing in the area of People in Critical Situations. This main objective is to describe the contributions acquired in the internships carried out, in emergency services and intensive care units, through critical thinking and informed reflection on the care provided, which allowed the consolidation of good practices for the acquisition and development of skills of master and specialist nurses to provide quality care to people in critical situations and their families. The connection between nurse and patient involves therapeutic communication, providing holistic and patient-centered care, promoting the humanization of the nursing care provided. The theme under study is supported by Meleis's Theory of Transitions and Peplau's Theory of Interpersonal Relations. During the stay in the emergency department and intensive care unit, communication complications experienced by people under invasive mechanical ventilation are common. The understanding of this, which is impossible to communicate verbally, must constitute a concern on the part of health professionals. It is essential to improve the general objective of this internship report: to develop specialized nursing skills in managing therapeutic communication with people under invasive mechanical ventilation. The development of nursing knowledge and skills in the context of communication with people under invasive mechanical ventilation becomes essential for the provision of quality nursing care. Having different experiences throughout this master's course intensified my professional growth, through progress in providing care to people in emergent situations, anticipating instability, developing professional learning through continuous improvement of quality and application of knowledge and problem-solving skills in new situations.
