Abstract(s)
O presente relatório aborda uma investigação-ação, realçando a importância da Expressão Plástica em idade Pré-Escolar, com foco na faixa etária dos 5 anos. Como tal, o principal objetivo deste trabalho é conferir a devida notoriedade ao desenvolvimento de atividades no âmbito da Educação Artística, bem como refletir acerca do papel que o educador e a escola desempenham nesta área.
Atualmente, o convívio das crianças com a Arte e as imagens é diário, uma vez que estas estão presentes no nosso quotidiano, impulsionando naturalmente a educação plástica. Assim sendo, “é necessário estabelecer uma organização pedagógica que permita uma adequação positiva e eficaz das práticas artísticas junto das crianças.” (Oliveira, 2007, p. 62).
Constatamos que na maioria dos casos os intervenientes da ação educativa recor-rem à Expressão Plástica apenas como área complementar de outras áreas ou como uma distração para as crianças. Porém, como Brilhante (2007, s.p.), defende “a arte não é ocupação dos tempos livres (…) ". Assim sendo, durante todo o percurso pretendemos desenvolver com crianças de cinco anos de um colégio em Lisboa, atividades onde teriam oportunidade de explorar e manipular diferentes técnicas e instrumentos e despertar o seu espírito crítico.
This report is focused on a research-action, stressing the importance of Artistic Expression among pre-school children, targeting the group of children with 5 years of age. Therefore, the main objective of this report is to give due priority to the develop-ment of activities under the Artistic Education field, as well as to reflect on the role that the teacher and the school may play in this area. The interaction of children with art and images is nowadays common, as these are present in our daily lives, naturally encouraging the artistic education. Therefore, "it is necessary to establish an educational organization that allows a positive and effective adjustment of artistic practices with children." (Oliveira, 2007, p. 62). We have found that in most cases, the players involved in the educational activity make use of the Artistic Expression only as a complementary area to other or even as a distraction for children. However, as Brilhante (2007) has argued, "art is not free-time (...)" and hence the need to pay attention to Artistic Expression since the children's childhood is of utmost importance. As such, we intended to develop with five years chil-dren of a Kindergarten/school in Lisbon during the whole approach, activities where they would have the opportunity to explore and handle different techniques and instru-ments and could awaken their critical, creative and constructive spirit
