Abstract(s)
aumento do insight.
The deinstitutionalization policy implemented in Portugal aims at the psychopathological stabilization of people in inpatient services for the shortest period of time. However, a diagnosis of psychosis is responsible for longer hospital stays and more readmissions, and Metacognitive Training is an effective intervention in reducing delusions and increasing insight. This report presents the results of the planning, implementation and evaluation of the Individualized Metacognitive Therapy Program for Psychosis, which demonstrated an improvement in the nursing diagnoses delirium (assessed by the PSYRATS - Delusion scale) and awareness (assessed by the Beck Cognitive Insight Scale), and show the importance of the implementation of psychotherapeutic interventions by mental health and psychiatry specialist nurses. This report describes the acquisition of skills, according to the methodology of the care process with the phases assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation, based on the therapeutic relationship and patient-centered care. Keywords: Nursing; Mental health; Metacognitive Training; Psychosis; person centered caretherapeutic relationship is a fundamental axis of mental health nursing that operationalizes patient-centered care.
