Abstract(s)
A presente dissertação aborda uma nova perspetiva que absorve o
conhecimento da comunidade piscatória no que diz respeito a cascos e peguilhos
no fundo do mar, possibilitando assim a aquisição de eventuais novos dados para
a Carta Arqueológica Subaquática Nacional.
Para uma melhor contextualização, considerou-se pertinente fazer uma
sinopse da história de Portugal e a sua ligação ao mar, abordar questões legais
no âmbito do Património Cultural Subaquático (PCS), bem como da gestão do
mesmo, sublinhando notas fundamentais como as ameaças inerentes ao
Património Cultural Subaquático, a Carta Arqueológica Subaquática Nacional e o
trabalho da Direção Geral do Património Cultural (DGPC), no que lhe remete este
tema. Ainda numa primeira abordagem, é de salientar as contribuições dadas e
expectáveis por parte da Marinha Portuguesa e do Sistema de Autoridade
Marítima no que concerne a este Património.
Realizou-se igualmente uma contextualização histórica da arqueologia
desde a sua génese até aos dias de hoje. Abordou-se a evolução histórica da
arqueologia subaquática bem como todos os processos e ameaças a ela
inerentes. Posto isto, abordou-se ainda alguns projetos de arqueologia
subaquática a nível nacional e internacional.
Concluindo com uma análise cruzando os dados adquiridos com os dados
existentes na DGPC e numa das maiores bases de dados online de naufrágios
(https://www.wrecksite.eu), podendo assim fazer algumas presunções, mas sem
nenhumas certezas antes de se explorar o local em questão.
The present dissertation approaches a new perspective that reduces the knowledge of the fishing community and that concerns the hulls and pegs on the bottom of the sea, thus allowing the acquisition of any new data for the National Underwater Archaeological Map. For a better contextualization, consider it pertinent to make a synopsis of the history of Portugal and its connection to the sea, address legal issues in the way of displaying the Underwater Cultural Heritage (UCH), as well as the management of it, underline fundamental notes such as those inherent to Cultural Heritage Underwater, a National Underwater Archaeological Map and the work of the Directorate General of Cultural Heritage (DGCH), with regard to this topic. Still in a first approach, we highlight the contributions made and applicable by the Portuguese Navy and the Maritime Authority System, which do concern this Heritage. A historical contextualization of archeology was also carried out from its begining to the present day, both nationally and internationally. The historical evolution of underwater archeology was discussed, as well as all the processes and threats inherent to it. That said, some underwater archeology projects were approached at national and international level. Concluding with an analysis crossing the purchased data with the existing data in the DGCH and in one of the largest online databases (https://www.wrecksite.eu), thus allowing to make some assumptions, but there are no certainties without exploring the location in question.
