Abstract(s)
The present report is part for the master’s degree for Teaching Qualification for Preschool education. Intended to explore the potential of the game in order to actively engage children in the learning of mathematics, as well as analyze the evolution of the group following the implementation of the research project. The whole practice was based on a research-action model, adopting a qualitative-interpretative paradigm, by which it was possible to observe, plan, intervene and reflect on the set out objectives. For its implementation it was needed different techniques to make data collection: observation, field notes and document collection. The results show that children learn and develop more easily skills, either mathematical or personal, when confronted with a learning methodology in which the game plays a fundamental role.
