O ambiente psicossocial de trabalho e os fatores de risco da comunidade AU PAIR: um estudo qualitativo

O trabalho de au pair é caracterizado como intercâmbio cultural e desenvolvido por mulheres jovens entre 18 e 26 anos, estas residem com uma família estrangeira com direito a alimentação, transporte e curso e em troca têm a responsabilidade de ajudar nos cuidados infantis da família hospedeira recebendo um valor semanal ou mensal por este serviço desempenhado. Criado em 1986 nos Estados Unidos da América (EUA), com o intuito de elevar a tolerância intercultural, tem em questão algumas problemáticas relevantes referente a como o programa vendido como intercâmbio cultural é vivenciado como uma força de trabalho econômica para as famílias hospedeiras. No intuito de avaliar os riscos psicossociais neste ambiente de trabalho desempenhado por mulheres entre 18 e 26 anos nos EUA, devida a escassa literatura referente a população feminina brasileira, foi realizado uma pesquisa qualitativa com ex au pairs brasileiras que concluíram o programa nos EUA. Para a coleta de dados foi utilizado um guião semi-estruturado com 23 perguntas baseado na literatura do ambiente psicossocial do trabalho e nos riscos psicossociais para au pairs, para a análise de dados foi utilizado o software MAXQDA (2022) e a metodologia de análise temática de Bardin (2009). Este estudo busca contribuir com a informação sobre quais são os riscos psicossociais e como estes influenciam na saúde mental de ex aupairs brasileiras que concluíram este trabalho nos EUA.
Au pair work is characterized as a cultural exchange and is carried out by young women between the ages of 18 and 26, who live with a foreign family with the right to food, transport and tuition, and in return have the responsibility of helping with the host family's childcare, receiving a weekly or monthly fee for this service. Created in 1986 in the United States of America (USA) with the aim of increasing intercultural tolerance, there are some relevant issues regarding how the program sold as a cultural exchange is experienced as an economic workforce for the host families. In order to assess the psychosocial risks in this work environment performed by women between the ages of 18 and 26 in the USA, due to the scarcity of literature on the Brazilian female population, a qualitative study was carried out with former Brazilian au pairs who had completed the program in the USA. A semi-structured script with 23 questions based on the literature on the psychosocial work environment and psychosocial risks for au pairs was used for data collection. MAXQDA (2022) software and Bardin's (2009) thematic analysis methodology were used for data analysis. This study seeks to contribute information on what the psychosocial risks are and how they influence the mental health of former Brazilian au pairs who have completed this work in the USA.
