| dc.description.abstract | O projeto de investigação surgiu no âmbito do Estágio Profissional com a duração de 450 horas, desenvolvido num lar de infância e juventude, no período entre dezembro, de 2020, e abril de 2021. Partindo da inserção no contexto e da observação e intervenção que foram sendo desencadeadas, o principal objetivo deste estudo consistiu em compreender a natureza e desenvolvimento das relações de afeto estabelecidas entre jovens e cuidadores formais. Através de uma Metodologia Qualitativa, operacionalizada pela administração de entrevistas semiestruturadas, criamos oportunidades para escutar a voz de 5 jovens e 4 cuidadores, analisando a perceção/significados atribuídos à vivência institucional e à sua eventual repercussão na construção das relações de afeto. As respostas às entrevistas foram objeto de análise de conteúdo e os dados obtidos sugerem que, apesar da vivência afetiva no período que antecede a institucionalização ser marcada por experiências em lugares desprovidos de trocas afetivas, vislumbram-se contornos de novos vínculos estáveis, sendo possível uma reorganização do património afetivo destes jovens. Deste modo, as oportunidades relacionais a que são expostos na institucionalização podem conduzi-los num percurso de continuidade ou mudança ao nível do estilo de vinculação, desde que exista alguém capaz de acolher e apaziguar a sua desorganização interna. Ficou comprovado que a desorganização da vinculação não é uma caraterística fixa destes jovens, apresentando apenas uma moderada estabilidade ao longo do tempo a relação com os cuidadores poderá constituir uma mais-valia na sua contenção/reorganização emocional e na gestão dos conflitos internos. Não obstante, quando esta rede de suporte emocional falha, os jovens vão interiorizando imagens negativas, pautadas pela não responsividade e insegurança e apresentando um funcionamento menos adaptativo face ao meio que os rodeia. Em suma, os resultados obtidos neste estudo reforçam a importância da institucionalização, mais precisamente do “capital humano” e dos laços afetivos entre cuidadores e jovens institucionalizados, que se afiguram uma mais-valia na reorganização emocional, na gestão de conflitos internos e na condução de trajetórias resilientes. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | This research project was developed within the scope of the Professional Internship lasting 450 hours, developed in foster home between December 2020 and April 2021. Based on the insertion in the context and the observation and intervention that were triggered, the main purpose of this study was to understand the nature and development of the affection relationships established between young people and formal caregivers. Through a Qualitative Methodology, operationalized by the administration of semi- structured interviews, we created opportunities to listen to the voices of 5 young people and 4 caregivers, analyzing the perception/significance assigned to the institutional experience and its possible repercussion on the construction of affectionate relationships. The answers to the interviews were subjected to content analysis and the data obtained suggest that, despite the affective experience in the period prior to institutionalization being marked by experiences in places devoid of affective exchanges, outlines of new stable bonds are glimpsed, and a reorganization of the affective heritage of these young people is possible. Therefore, the relational opportunities to which they are exposed in institutionalization may lead them on a path of continuity or change in terms of attachment style, as long as there is someone able to welcome and appease their internal disorganization. It was proven that the disorganization of attachment is not a fixed characteristic of these youngsters, presenting only a moderate stability over time, the relationship with caregivers may be an added value in their emotional containment/reorganization and in the management of internal conflicts. Nevertheless, when this emotional support network fails, the youngsters internalize negative images, marked by non-responsiveness and insecurity, and present a less adaptive functioning towards the surrounding environment. In short, the results obtained in this study reinforce the importance of institutionalization, more precisely of the "human capital" and the affective bonds between caregivers and institutionalized young people, which seem to be an asset in emotional reorganization, management of internal conflicts and conduction of resilient trajectories. | pt_PT |
