O braguinha e a música tradicional madeirense em ambiente extraescolar: estudo sobre motivações e aprendizagens

Abstract(s)
Este projeto, integrado no âmbito do plano de estudos do Mestrado em Ensino de Educação Musical no Ensino Básico, pela Escola Superior de Educação – Instituto Politécnico de Setúbal, pretende descrever as várias fases de um Projeto Educativo e de um consequente Projeto de Investigação.
Intitulado: “O braguinha e a música tradicional madeirense em ambiente extraescolar: estudo sobre motivações e aprendizagens”, o projeto, através de dinâmicas diversificadas, procura analisar a motivação e o crescimento ou desenvolvimento musical das crianças em estudo, na prática de um instrumento tradicional madeirense mais concretamente o braguinha, com base na avaliação através da “Espiral de desenvolvimento musical” de Swanwick e Tillman, bem como na análise da presença de motivação complementando com as teorias de Suzuki, Vygotsky e Lucy Green.
Para poder aferir: “Que aprendizagens e motivações têm as crianças num agrupamento de braguinhas, em contexto de ambiente extraescolar?”, realizei oito sessões educativas, numa paróquia local em Câmara de Lobos – ilha da Madeira, em ambiente extraescolar, com o objetivo, não só de transmitir conhecimentos - indo ao encontro das necessidades dos alunos, mas também de analisar a motivação e o crescimento musical segundo a já referida “Espiral de desenvolvimento musical” de Swanwick e Tillman; para tal desenvolvi em simultâneo um projeto de investigação.
Na análise qualitativa, utilizei por sessão, notas de campo, gravações áudio/vídeo e uma tabela de avaliação de competências, o que permitiu a obtenção de diversos testemunhos.
As principais conclusões deste estudo apontam para um elevado nível de motivação individual e em grupo, bem como para a presença de crescimento musical nas três primeiras camadas da referida espiral, ocorrendo oscilações entre o lado direito e o lado esquerdo.
This project is integrated within the curriculum of the Master in Teaching Music Education in Basic Education, the School of Education - Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal, to describe the various stages of an educational project and a consequent Research Project. Titled: "The traditional music and braguinha Madeira-school environment: A study on motivation and learning," the project, through dynamic diversified, seeks to analyze the motivation and musical growth and development of children in the study, the practice of a traditional instrument Madeira braguinha more specifically, based on the assessment through the "Spiral of Musical Development" of Swanwick and Tillman, as well as analyzing the presence of motivation theories complemented by Suzuki, Vygotsky and Lucy Green. In order to measure: "What learning and motivation have a group of children braguinhas in the context of extra-school environment?", Performed eight educational sessions in a local parish in Câmara de Lobos – Madeira Island, extraescolar environment, in order, not only to transmit knowledge - meeting the needs of students, but also to analyze the motivation and musical growth according to the aforementioned "Spiral of Musical Development" of Swanwick and Tillman, "to develop simultaneously as a research project. The qualitative analysis used field notes, audio / video and a skills assessment table per session which allowed the preparation of several witnesses. The main conclusions of this study indicate a high level of individual motivation and group as well as the presence of musical growth in the first three layers of that spiral, oscillations occurring between the right and left.
