A dissertação que se apresenta no presente documento, insere-se no contexto da gestão de conhecimento, abordando temas relacionados, como a gestão de competências e as memórias organizacionais, procurando relacionar e enquadrar os sistemas de informação como forma de desenvolvimento de melhores práticas de gestão nas organizações.
A gestão de conhecimento é uma área científica diretamente relacionada ao valor organizacional do conhecimento, é através deste (seja ele individual ou coletivo) que as organizações obtêm as vantagens competitivas que procuram. Este conhecimento tem por base as competências dos recursos humano e são adquiridas com formação e experiência profissional. O conhecimento organizacional necessita também de ser retido e armazenado, deste modo, as empresas tendem a recorrer a memórias organizacionais e portais corporativos de modo a preservar o conhecimento organizacional.
Este estudo aplica métodos de investigação quantitativos e qualitativos. Para além da revisão e análise da literatura dos temas acima referidos, foram elaborados questionários a organizações que permitiram observar um padrão e elaborar um estudo relativamente ao uso dos sistemas de informação na gestão de conhecimento e de competências nas organizações. Por fim, foi efetuada uma análise aos resultados obtidos e elaborada uma síntese sobre o impacto da gestão de conhecimento nas organizações.
The dissertation presented in this document is part of the knowledge management context, addressing related topics such as skill management and organizational memories, seeking to relate and insert information systems as a way of developing best practices in organizations to make their processes more efficient and effective. Knowledge management is a scientific area directly related to the organizational value of knowledge, because it is through knowledge (be it collective or individual) that organizations obtain the competitive advantage they seek. This knowledge is based on skills, are these personal or intellectual, these skills are part of the human being and are acquired with the training and experience, having to be managed and more and more this is done with the support of the information systems. As well as being managed, knowledge must also be retained and stored, so companies tend to develop organizational memories and corporate portals. This study applies quantitative and qualitative research methods. In addition to reviewing and analyzing the literature on the above themes, surveys will be carried out on companies to establish how much they know about knowledge and skill management, as well as to evaluate if organizational memories are used in the organization and measure the impact of skill management, these surveys will be studied to combine data and conclusions will be made about the impact of knowledge management.
