This intervention project was developed as 6iferen Project T., within the scope of sociocultural animation and non-formal education. It starts from the idea that artistic practices are a powerful way to promote inclusion, intercultural dialogue, and personal and social development—especially in communities facing social challenges and rich cultural diversity. The main goal was to understand how artistic activities can help participants grow personally and socially, while also strengthening relationships and well-being in a group that brings together iferente generations and cultures. More specifically, the project aimed to boost socio-emotional skills, encourage teamwork, celebrate cultural diversity, and build a sense of community through creative and collaborative art-making. The approach was based on action research and arts-based research, using participatory sessions that included expressive, physical, and creative activities. The process was supported by participant observation and ongoing reflection, with field notes and other records helping to adjust strategies based on how the group responded. Throughout the project, participants showed improvements in communication, empathy, and sense of belonging. They also developed a stronger appreciation for their neighborhood and its potential. Artistic practices became spaces for expression, sharing, and active listening, allowing people to build knowledge and experiences together. In this way, art—when used in non-formal, community-based, and lifelong learning contexts—can play a transformative role. It helps create more empathetic and inclusive relationships, gives value to iferente identities, and strengthens social cohesion and collective well-being.
