Abstract(s)
No percurso efetuado
Procurámos identificar as principais
educação a distância e as potencialidades do metaverso. Neste contexto e perante o atual
Lifelong Learning is considered fundamental for the quality of the police activity, however, Police Departments face constraints to guarantee training to all their professionals. This study aims to analyse the possibility of implementing Blended Learning in the training of Police Departments, to mitigate their lack of training. Along this study we analyse the relevance of training for the Public Security Police, as well as the importance of learning strategies applied to Blended Learning. We verified the predominance of the face-to-face classroom in training, and we became aware of the constraints arising from this addiction. We tried to identify the main advantages and disadvantages associated with Blended Learning, as well as the evolution of distance education and the potentialities of the metaverse. In this context and facing the current challenge of ensuring more and better training, we concluded that the implementation of Blended Learning in the Lifelong Learning of Police Departments would result in several advantages, namely in the effective increase of learning by trainees, in the optimization of resources, in the reduction of costs, as well as in the development of trainers
