Este estudo pretende analisar, através de uma análise de caso, os impactos produzidos pelas
mudanças organizacionais provocadas pela lmplementação da reengenharia de processos,
especificamente numa área de suporte, tida como uma das áreas mais atingidas pelo processo de
reengenharia, a Gestão de Recursos Humanos. Pretende-se identificar as razões que levaram a
lmplementação da reengenharia de processos, as alteracões provocadas em Recursos Humanos,
identificar dificuldades detetadas e os beneficios no Departamento de Recursos Humanos do
Instituto da Segurança Social, I.P. Para tal fez-se a abordagem teórica em torno da Administração
Pública, da Reengenharia de Processos e da mudança organizacional.
This study aims to analyze, through a case analysis, the impacts caused by the organizational changes brought by the implementation of process reengineering, specifically in a support area, which is seen as one of the most affected by this process, The Human Resource Management. We intend to identify the reasons which led to the implementation of process reengineering, the changes in Human Resources, and to identify the benefits and difficulties of that implementation in the Human Resources Department of the Institute of Social Security, IP. Thus, was made the theoretical approach around the Public Administration, of the Business Process Reengineering and the organizational change.
