Abstract(s)
respetivos efeitos no comportamento humano. Desta forma,
The following work was carried out within the framework of the Master in Product and Space Design at IADE - Faculty of Design, Technology and Communication. An investigation was developed on the scenography of the television program Big Brother Brazil and how the space may be able to affect the psychological behavior of its users. Through a contextual framework, we analyzed from the historical context of the program to the surveillance and monitoring devices, architectural design, emotional design, and their respective effects on human behavior. In this way, the main ideas associated with the topics to the field of study of the object in question are identified: Big Brother Brazil. The analysis of the literary work "1984”, by the author George Orwell, and the philosophical essay "Discipline and Punish: The Birth of the Prison", elaborated by Foucault, became fundamental for the understanding of psychological behavior when in a position of monitoring and surveillance.
