Abstract(s)
This research aims to contribute to the improvement of citizen safety conditions in the public space, through the reduction of opportunities for street crime. To this end, the planning of the physical environment, aimed at the lighting system, vegetation and urban furniture, will be combined with police intelligence. Using police intelligence, the intention is to ensure that the public space is designed in such a way as to be a defensive space (by itself) and a promoter of desired behaviors. Combining opinions from various areas, namely in the areas of architecture, landscape architecture, construction, security technicians, citizen users, and police, etc., it is possible to collect information that will be used in the planning and projection of public space, integrating the data existing not only police intelligence, but also all the contributions of those who use or may come to use the space, creating a shared, inclusive and more sustainable security culture. This investigation is mainly based on crime prevention. It is intended using the CPTED principles, "Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design" Jeffrey (1971), to allow a better profitability of the space, reducing the risks for the community, admitting the use of other technologies such as CCTV and use of Air Vehicles No Crewed (UAV) as a complement to CPTED.
