Abstract(s)
The present work consists on the study of the influence the physical environment of organizations can have on their innovation performance. The relevance of innovation for the competitiveness of organizations has been of growing interest of managers and researchers alike; at the same time, recent changes in the physical work environment have been observed. Starting with a literature review on these two topics - physical environment of organizations and innovation in organizations -, the research tries to identify environmental factors that may influence the level of innovation in an organization. In parallel, a model that evaluates the level of innovation in organizations will be researched. Using the Delphi methodology - used to find consensus between specialists on a given topic -, a model of physical environmental influences will be developed, and the relation between its factors will be analysed with factor analysis. Once validated qualitatively and quantitatively - with the Delphi method and factor analysis, respectively -, the model will be applied in the analysis of an organization in a sector to be determined. The analysis of the results of the applied model will answer the formulated hypothesis, with possible contributions to the areas of knowledge.
