Abstract(s)
A saúde mental tem merecido uma crescente preocupação, sendo o reflexo da evolução do
nosso entendimento acerca da importância do bem-estar emocional e psicológico. A enfermagem
desempenha um papel fulcral na promoção da saúde mental, abraçando uma abordagem holística da
saúde, corroborando que a saúde mental é tão crucial quanto a saúde física, não desvalorizando as
competências emocionais dos indivíduos, entendendo-as como fundamentais para a recuperação, bem-
estar emocional e qualidade de vida.
De salientar, que o enfermeiro especialista em enfermagem de saúde mental e psiquiátrica
desempenha um papel vital e transformador na abordagem à população que enfrenta problemas de
saúde mental, tendo um contributo profundo e abrangente, impactando positivamente a vida de quem
carece de cuidados.
Este relatório de estágio, demonstra a aquisição de competências desenvolvidas durante o
mestrado em Enfermagem e na realização dos estágios, resultando na conquista do título de enfermeiro
especialista em saúde mental e psiquiátrica.
Mental health has deserved a growing concern, reflecting the evolution of our understanding about the importance of emotional and psychological well-being. Nursing plays a key role in promoting mental health, embracing a holistic approach to health, confirming that mental health is as crucial as physical health, not undervaluing the emotional skills of individuals, understanding them as fundamental to recovery, as well as -emotional being and quality of life. It should be noted that the specialist nurse in mental health and psychiatricnursing plays a vital and transformative role in approaching the population facing mental health problems, making a profound and comprehensive contribution, positively impacting the lives of those in need of care. This internship report demonstrates the acquisition of skills developed during the Master´s Degree in Nursing and the completion of internships, resulting in the achievement of the title of specialist nurse in mental and psychiatric health.
