O presente Relatório insere-se no plano de estudos do Mestrado Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica na Área à Pessoa em situação Perioperatória, da Escola Superior de Saúde de Santa Maria, em associação com a Escola Superior de Enfermagem de São José de Cluny. Este relatório tem como objetivo constituir um documento ilustrativo do percurso, aprendizagens e competências desenvolvidas, através da frequência das unidades curriculares teóricas e práticas do mestrado e respetivos trabalhos, com destaque para o projeto de autoformação. Este relatório apresenta um enquadramento teórico-conceptual da enfermagem perioperatória assim como uma revisão do estado da arte relativamente à documentação dos cuidados de enfermagem refletindo o especial interesse pela segurança dos cuidados no que à sua documentação diz respeito. A documentação dos cuidados de enfermagem é um dever dos profissionais em resposta a um direito das pessoas à continuidade e segurança dos cuidados. Acresce que confere aos profissionais a prova legal do efetivado e constitui uma fonte para a criação de mais evidência. Constata-se alguns fatores impeditivos e recomendações de registos que assegurem às pessoas em situação perioperatória e sua família/pessoa significativa a vivência de uma experiência cirúrgica satisfatória, dada a vulnerabilidade que este momento representa. Das competências desenvolvidas, enfatiza a aquisição e o desenvolvimento de competências comuns e específicas do Enfermeiro Especialista em Enfermagem Médico Cirúrgica na Área à Pessoa em Situação Perioperatória, concomitantes com a aquisição das competências de segundo ciclo ou de Mestre. Esta aquisição de competências permitir-me-ão, de futuro, não só prestar cuidados perioperatórios seguros e de qualidade à pessoa em situação perioperatória, como também contribuir para o fortalecimento da equipa em que me insira e do próprio desenvolvimento da enfermagem como profissão e disciplina.
The present Report is inserted on the master’s degree program in Medical-Surgical Nursing in the Area of Person in Perioperative Situation, at Escola Superior de Saude de Santa Maria, in association with Escola Superior de Enfermagem de São José de Cluny. This report intents to record and illustrate the path, learning and skills developed through my presence at the theoretical and practical curricular units of this master`s degree and respective work, emphasizing my self-training project. This report presents a theoretical-conceptual framework of perioperative nursing care as well as a review of the state of the art relatively to the nursing care documentation, reflecting the special interest in the safety care as far as its documentation is concerned. Nursing care documentation is a professional duty responding to patient`s right to continuity and safety care. Furthermore, it gives professionals with legal proof of professional acts and constitutes a source for creating more evidence. It was recognized that exists some impeditive factors and recording recommendations that ensure patients in the perioperative situation and their family/significant person an experience of a satisfactory surgical experience, given the vulnerability that this moment can represent. From the developed skills, it emphasizes the acquisition and development of common and specific skills of Nursing Specialist in Medical-Surgical Nursing in the Area of Person in Perioperative Situation concomitantly with the acquisition of second cycle skills or master’s degree. These skills will allow me, in the future, not only to provide safe and quality perioperative care to people in a perioperative situation, but also contributes to strengthening the team in which I am part and the development of nursing as a profession and discipline itself.
