| dc.description.abstract | Neste relatório analisa-se uma intervenção em Gerontologia Social realizada num Centro de Dia. Orientados pela metodologia de projeto, iniciou-se o diagnóstico social atendendo-se aos problemas e potencialidades desta resposta social e a avaliação diagnóstica dos idosos. O diagnóstico permitiu-nos compreender o quotidiano destes idosos, em particular os serviços que lhes são assegurados e as atividades desenvolvidas, e evidenciou as alterações cognitivas, a baixa autoestima e auto depreciação, a pouca interação social e a não existência de um plano de atividades efetivamente concretizado que promoveu o desinteresse dos idosos na participação em atividades de animação sociocultural. Mostrou também uma aposta da organização e da sua equipa de profissionais na qualidade dos serviços prestados e no desenvolvimento de projetos de envelhecimento ativo, enfatizando necessidades básicas como a participação social e cívica, através de atividades de ocupação útil do tempo. O diagnóstico permitiu-nos definir quatro objetivos fundamentais que sustentaram os eixos de intervenção: estimular e desenvolver as competências cognitivas e sensoriais que levou à criação da “Oficina de estimulação cognitiva e sensorial”; valorizar as competências pessoais deu origem a dinâmicas de grupo de partilha e discussão: “Um pouco de mim, muito de nós”; fomentar os laços sociais com o desenvolvimento de dinâmicas de grupo “Tertúlias informativas”; incentivar para atividades de animação sociocultural com o desenvolvimento dos “Ateliers de culinária e de artes plásticas.” As perceções dos idosos sobre o projeto foram positivas, considerando o gosto de participar nas atividades, as aprendizagens por elas potenciadas, a sua importância e contributo para a construção de um grupo mais coeso e participativo. | dc.description.abstract | The following report analyses an intervention in Social Gerontology that was held in a day care centre. Guided by the project methodology, a social diagnosis was made, given the problems and potentiality of this social response and also a diagnostic evaluation of the elderly people. This diagnosis has enabled us to understand the daily life of these elderly people, in particular, the services provided to them and the activities made. This showed cognitive changes, low selfesteem and self-depreciation, low social interaction and the non-existence of a plan of activities suitable for them. It also showed a commitment of the organization and its team of professionals in the position of service providers and in the development of active aging projects, emphasizing the basic needs through activities to occupy their free time, such as social and civic participations. The diagnosis allowed us to define four fundamental targets that supported the respective intervention aims: stimulate and develop the cognitive and sensory skills that led to the creation of the “Workshop of Cognitive and Sensory Stimulation”; valuing personal skills lead to a rise of group dynamics, as sharing and discussion “A little of me, a lot of us”; foster social ties with the development of group dynamics “Information Meetings”; encourage activities for socialcultural animation with the development of “Culinary and Handicraft Workshops”. The perceptions of the elderly about the project were positive, considering their pleasure of participating in the activities, the learning they have achieved as well as its importance and the contribution to the construction of a more cohesive and participative group. The intervention process revealed that the creation of new dynamics is crucial for the day care centre's mission to be fulfilled. | pt_PT |
