| dc.description.abstract | analisar a relevância da saúde oral em contexto de creche. Uma vez que o número de crianças a frequentar a creche é cada vez maior, os educadores têm um papel de cuidadores das crianças em parceria com as famílias, intervindo em todos os cuidados necessários ao desenvolvimento pleno da criança. A saúde oral influencia a forma como a criança fala, sorri e sente o gosto dos alimentos. Numa fase precoce do desenvolvimento da criança, há que ter uma atenção redobrada e alertar os pais para cuidados de saúde oral, nomeadamente, para a utilização do biberão, uma vez que esta contribui para o desenvolvimento de cáries em dentes decíduos. Assim, definiu-se o problema de investigação «como promover a saúde oral em contexto de creche?». Esta investigação trata-se de um estudo qualitativo, de caráter investigação-ação, sendo os participantes um grupo de dezanove crianças com dois anos de idade, a educadora cooperante e doze pais. A recolha de dados foi realizada através de uma entrevista à educadora cooperante para perceber quais as suas práticas e sugestões em sala de atividades, um inquérito por questionário aos pais para analisar qual a perceção dos mesmos sobre o tema e identificar as rotinas das crianças em ambiente familiar, e, ainda, a observação naturalista ao grupo de crianças. A análise dos dados recolhidos permitiu propor e implementar um conjunto de atividades tendo como tema a saúde oral. As atividades foram elaboradas com base nas necessidades e interesses do grupo de crianças em questão. Para melhor compreender este tema, recorreu-se a uma pesquisa sobre as orientações e práticas de saúde oral em contexto de creche. Constata- se que a área da saúde oral parece ser pouco desenvolvida, o que poderá contribuir para alguns problemas graves de saúde oral em idade mais avançada. Consequentemente, existe uma necessidade enorme de atuar neste sentido e de promover a saúde oral em contexto de creche, nomeadamente, através de atividades como as que foram desenvolvidas, mostrando que é possível, desde a creche, motivar as crianças para a importância da mesma. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | This study is part of the day care internship and aimed to analyse the relevance of oral health in a day care context. As the number of children attending day care centers is increasing, educators play a role as child caregivers along with families, intervening in all the necessary care for the full development of the infant. Oral health influences the way the child talks, smiles, and tastes the food. In the child’s early stages of development, it is necessary to increase attention and alert the parents to oral health care, especially for the use of the bottle, since this contributes to the development of caries in deciduous teeth. Thus, the research problem was defined as "how to promote oral health in a day care context?". This is a qualitative study, whose participants are a group of eighteen children with two years of age, the day care educator and twelve parents. The data collection was carried out through an interview with the educator to understand her practices in the class and her suggestions, a questionnaire to parents in order to analyse their perception on the matter and identify the routines of children in their family environment, and the naturalistic observation of the group of children. The analysis of the data collected allowed us to propose and implement a set of activities with a focus on oral health. The activities were based on the needs and interests of the group of children in question. To better understand this subject, we conducted a research on oral health practices and guidelines in a day care context. The oral health subject seems to be underdeveloped, which may contribute to some serious oral health problems at a later age. Consequently, there is an enormous need to act in this area and to promote oral health in a day care context, through activities as the ones that have been developed, showing that it is possible to motivate children to its importance since day care. | pt_PT |
