A Humanidade do património histórico: a conservação e a salvaguarda na Rota do Românico

Em 1998, inicia-se um processo de desenvolvimento sustentado. Da articulação, promovida por várias entidades, é decidido inventariar os elementos patrimoniais de estilo românico na região do Vale do Sousa e, em 2006, na região do Baixo Tâmega e Douro Sul, no Norte de Portugal. Em 2010, a Rota do Românico é alargada a 58 elementos patrimoniais de estilo românico, unidos em rede e dinamizados numa
rota turística estruturada. De 2003 até à atualidade, a área da conservação e salvaguarda patrimonial tem assumido um papel fundamental na preservação de uma herança histórica ancestral. A Rota do Românico desenvolve um conjunto de vertentes inerentes à sua dinamização turística e cultural, à produção e disseminação de conhecimento, ao envolvimento da comunidade e à cooperação internacional.

It was decided to assemble the heritage elements of Romanesque style in the Sousa Valley region, and in 2006 in the Tâmega and Douro region in the North of Portugal. In 2010, the Route of the Romanesque was extended to 58 heritage elements of Romanesque style joined in a network and structured as a tourist route. Since 2003, the heritage conservation has assumed a key role in this route to ensure and preserve historical heritage. The Route of the Romanesque develops a number of aspects related to its promotion as a new cultural tourism product, to the production and dissemination of knowledge, community involvement and international cooperation.
