Abstract(s)
Introdução: A promoção de medidas estratégicas de prevenção e controlo de infeção
associadas à prestação de cuidados têm-se direcionado, na sua generalidade, para a área da
saúde, deixando fragilidades na comunidade. A inclusão destas medidas, na prática de
cuidados no domicílio, deve ser considerada como estratégia na comunidade.
Objetivo: Contribuir para a capacitação dos profissionais dos Serviços de Apoio no Domicílio,
no âmbito das Precauções Básicas do Controlo da Infeção.
Metodologia: Desenvolvimento de projeto que tem por base a Metodologia do Planeamento
em Saúde, sob o referencial teórico do Modelo de Promoção da Saúde de Nola Pender. Na
elaboração do diagnóstico de saúde realizou-se um estudo quantitativo, com recurso a
questionário, que visa a identificação das necessidades de formação dos profissionais, de
uma Instituição Particular de Solidariedade Social, sobre Controlo da Infeção.
Resultados: Identificaram-se necessidades de formação que orientaram o desenvolvimento
do projeto. As intervenções contribuíram para a capacitação e aumento de conhecimentos.
Conclusão: O recurso a um processo formativo e educacional revelou-se importante na
organização do trabalho dos profissionais, no desenvolvimento de competências preventivas
e na gestão da saúde.
Introduction: The promotion of strategic measures for prevention of infection and control associated with care provision has generally been directed towards the healthcare sector, leaving vulnerabilities in the community. The inclusion of these measures in home care practice should be considered a community strategy. Objective: To contribute to the empowerment of professionals in Home Support Services within the scope of Basic Infection Control Precautions. Methodology: Development of a project based on the Health Planning Methodology, under the theoretical framework of Nola Pender's Health Promotion Model. In the elaboration of the health diagnosis, a quantitative study was conducted using a questionnaire wich aimed identify the training needs of professionals from a Private Social Solidarity Institution on Infection Control. Results: Training needs were identified and guided the development of the project. The interventions contributed to the empowerment and increase of knowledge. Conclusion: The use of a formative and educational process proved to be important in organizing the work of professionals, in the development of preventive skills, and in health management.
