Abstract(s)
The Pelvic Floor (PP) is a set of muscles and ligaments that enclose the lower part of the abdominal cavity. They are responsible for the support function of the pelvic organs and play a regulatory role in retention, elimination reflexes, sexual function and childbirth. Changes in the pelvic muscles are defined by changes in the anatomy and physiology of this muscle, leading to compromised self-care for intestinal, bladder elimination and sexuality. The Nurse Specialist in Rehabilitation (EEER) intervenes in the problem of the person with altered PP, satisfying the altered Self-Care needs, leading to an improvement in the person's quality of life. The general objective is to develop scientific, technical, ethical and human skills for specialized care for people with Rehabilitation Nursing (ER) care needs. In this sense, situation diagnoses were carried out, objectives and activities were outlined that responded to the defined general objective, throughout the different Internship contexts. The activities carried out, combined with research in current scientific databases, adapted to the needs of each internship context, provided the acquisition of common competencies for a specialist nurse, specific to rehabilitation nursing and the Master's level, contributing to the continuous improvement of specialized care in the field of rehabilitation. Throughout the internship contexts, it was observed that the intervention of the Rehabilitation Nursing Specialist (EEER) within the study's theme contributes to the improvement of satisfaction with self-care in elimination and sexuality.
