Abstract(s)
introduzir melhorias no âmbito do tema do projeto.
This Research Project Report follows under the Master in Pre-School Education of the Higher Education School of Setúbal and its main objective is to develop ways to promote discipline and to understand its importance for the construction of children’s individual identity. We also aim at understanding how pre-school educators can adopt pedagogical practices that develop discipline, implemented without the need for punishment and rewards. This will lead children to understand the need for discipline and to have rules, self-allowing it. This Report presents the interpretative paradigm as methodology, guided by a qualitative research, based on a research-action approach, interpreting all the information collected within the theme under study. To complete this report we used observation, taken in both the training context, field notes, surveys to the Cooperating Educators and also the analysis of all the necessary documents, such as the Educational Projects of the institutions and the Pedagogical Projects of the Classrooms to collect information. Adding to the documental analysis, we also thoroughly analyzed the ideas of the educators expressed in the surveys. The structure of the report consists of a critical and reflexive analysis, enhancing both the educational contexts, taking into consideration the institutions, the groups of children and the cooperating educators. Several theoretical approaches are presented in this research, articulating with the experiences had during the training.
