Abstract(s)
Atendendo às inúmeras mudanças verificadas na última década, em Portugal, quanto à expressão religiosa, e às repercussões na assistência religiosa à população das Forças Armadas, elaboramos este trabalho com o intuito de aquilatar de que forma poderá ser melhorada a execução da assistência religiosa nas Forças Armadas, considerando o universo a que se destina.
Os objectivos deste estudo são os seguintes: analisar o actual Serviço de Assistência Religiosa das Forças Armadas; caracterizar a população das Forças Armadas quanto à religião professada; identificar as intenções das comunidades religiosas mais representadas quanto à assistência religiosa nas Forças Armadas; perceber, até que ponto o Serviço de Assistência
Religiosa das Forças Armadas está preparado para ser integrado por outras confissões religiosas que manifestem vontade de o fazer; finalmente, que alterações são desejáveis para melhorar o actual Serviço de Assistência Religiosa das Forças Armadas.
Iniciamos o nosso estudo com a pesquisa de bibliografia sobre o tema, apoiando-nos na investigação documental e na recolha de dados. Esta foi efectuada através de um questionário aos executantes da assistência religiosa nas Forças Armadas e de entrevistas aos responsáveis/representantes das comunidades religiosas mais representadas em Portugal.
Assim, começamos o nosso trabalho com um enquadramento histórico e legal da assistência religiosa nas Forças Armadas, de seguida efectuamos uma análise dos elementos que suportam o funcionamento da execução da assistência religiosa à população em questão, e auscultamos os responsáveis e executantes sobre a prestação da assistência religiosa nas Forças Armadas.
Terminamos, apresentando as principais conclusões, referindo os aspectos que mais poderão influenciar a execução da assistência religiosa à população das Forças Armadas e propondo alguns procedimentos que, em nosso entender, mais poderão contribuir para uma melhor adequação da assistência religiosa, neste limiar do século XXI. Abstract: Attending to the numerous changes in the last decade in Portugal, concerning the religious expression, and to the repercussions in the religious assistance to the Armed Forces, we made this study to found which way could be improved the execution of the religious assistance in the Armed Forces, taking in consideration the universe to achieve.
The goals of this study are the following: to analyse the present Religious Assistance Service of the Armed Forces; to characterise the Armed Forces population considering their religious believes; to identify the religious community intentions concerning the assistance to the Army Force; to acknowledge if the Religious Service is prepared to embrace other religious creeds if it is of their intention; and finally, what changes are prompt to be done to improve the actual Religious Assistance of the Army Force.
We begin our study searching for bibliography over the subject, supporting ourselves in the document search and on the data recollection. These were done through a questionnaire made to the responsible for Religious Assistance in the Army Force, and through the interviews to the people in charge of the religious communities in Portugal.
Thus, the introduction of our paperwork is based on the historical and legal framing of the assistance in the Armed Forces followed by the analysis of the elements that support the functioning of the religious assistance to the population in question. We also sound the responsible about the assistance render to the Armed Forces.
So we end presenting the main conclusions, referring to the aspects that might influence the religious assistance to the Army Force population, and also proposing some proceedings that, in our perspective, might contribute to a better framing of the religious assistance in the edge of the 21st century.
