Apesar de aleitamento materno contribuir para a promoção de saúde, e dos seus inúmeros
benefícios, tanto para a criança como para a mãe, sociedade e meio ambiente, as taxas de
aleitamento materno continuam aquém das recomendações da Organização Mundial de Saúde,
tornando-se fulcral promovê-lo e apoiá-lo.
No presente relatório, no âmbito do mestrado em enfermagem, descrevemos o percurso
formativo realizado ao longo do estágio final, onde demonstramos a implementação do projeto de
intervenção, a promoção do aleitamento materno, nas suas várias etapas, segundo a metodologia
de trabalho de projeto, sustentados no modelo de promoção de saúde de Nola Pender, e,
demonstramos o desenvolvimento de competências comuns e especificas de enfermeiro
especialista em saúde infantil e pediátrica, e de mestre em enfermagem, alicerçados nos modelos
de parceria de cuidados de Anne Casey, nos cuidados centrados na família e cuidados não
traumáticos.
Although breastfeeding contributes to health promotion and its innumerable benefits, to the child as well to the mother, society and environment, breastfeeding rates are still very low comparing with the World Health Organization recommendations, becoming very relevant to promote ant support it. In the present report, under the nursing master´s degree, we describe the formative course carried out during the final training, where we demonstrate the implementation of the intervention project, the breastfeeding promotion, in its various stages, according to the project work methodology, supported by Nola Pender´s health promotion model and we demonstrate the common and specific development of nurses specialized in children´s and pediatric health and with nursing master degree, consolidated on Anne Casey´s partnership of care models, on the family centered care and non-traumatic care.
