Abstract(s)
saúde e no desenvolvimento social.
grupo particularmente vulnerável - as crianças.
evitar consequências negativas a longo prazo.

The professional internship took place in two different contexts, Public Health Unit, and Community Care Unit. In the municipality where the internship took place, there are several problems identified that impact health and social development. One of those that emerges as a priority relates to a particularly vulnerable group - children. Intrafamily child neglect is a form of child abuse that occurs within the family, involving the lack of care essential to the child's well-being. It can result from various family problems, such as the additional stress resulting from poverty. Education and health professionals, due to their proximity, must be alert to identify and intervene early, aiming to protect children and avoid negative consequences in the long term. In order to demonstrate the development of the thought process and clinical decision-making by the Nurse specialist in this area, the project "Mais Apoio, Menos Negligência" was designed and implemented within the scope of School Health, aiming at an effective response to cases of negligence in a specific geographic area of intervention. With this report, we also intend to explain a critical and reflective perspective of the process of acquisition and development of common and specific skills recommended by the Order of Nurses, based on the activities developed within the scope of the internship carried out.
