Abstract(s)
a aplicabilidade e o orçamento.
Condition Monitoring is a process that has inherently featured in various industrial sectors. The evolution of the technological world leads to an increased demand for new generation equipment. Most types of maintenance require significant costs, financially and in terms of material, as such, it becomes necessary to develop efficient methods to monitor this equipment. Sao Tome and Principe´s Navy is in a developing stage, so it is very useful to implement a maintenance based on Condition Monitoring. To get the better monitoring of the machines, which allows determining/estimating their condition while in operation. In the initial phase, data was collected regarding the current conditions of the Navy of São Tomé and Príncipe in relation to maintenance. The knowledge regarding the control and monitoring of the condition of the machines was used, to estimate the satisfactory applicability of this method in this Navy. The method to be implemented in this Navy was estimated, considering some factors, namely, financial, and organizational. An application was created in LabView software, with the purpose of carrying out monitoring based on vibration analysis. The monitoring is carried out only on machines (Condition Monitoring). In the experimental phase, validation depended on various factors, namely applicability and budget. For these reasons, different conditions were created to ensure the implementation of this maintenance program in São Tomé and Príncipe’s Navy. For being applicable, the accuracy of the method was experimentally analyzed. Then, a possible application of this thesis to the Sao Tome and Principe Navy will be proposed, as this dissertation aims to contribute in an accessible manner, to the development of the same in the scope of Condition Monitoring, to condense the problematization of its financial and operational situation.
