dc.description.abstractPartindo do Inquérito à Arquitectura Regional Portuguesa, realizado entre 1955 e 1960 pelo Sindicato dos Arquitectos Portugueses com apoio oficial do governo, este trabalho pretende identificar os principais pontos de vista da historiografia do Movimento Moderno em Portugal, no que diz respeito às motivações de cada uma das partes envolvidas no processo do Inquérito (Sindicato dos Arquitetos e Estado) e às condições do exercício da profissão na sua relação com o poder político, tema a que o debate historiográfico sobre a existência de uma arquitetura do ou no Estado Novo veio far forma.pt_PT
dc.description.abstractStarting from the Survey on Portuguese Regional Architecture, carried out between 1955 and 1960 by the Portuguese Architects’ Union with official support from the government, this paper intends to identify the main points of view from historiography of the Modern Movement in Portugal, with regard to the motivations of each of the parts (Architects’ Union and State) that were involved in the process of the Survey and to the conditions of the profession in its relationships with the political power, whose discussion on the existence of an architecture of or in Estado Novo has somehow come shape.pt_PT
