Abstract(s)
O fenĂłmeno da violĂȘncia domĂ©stica, enquanto violação dos direitos humanos, continua em constante evolução e, por esse motivo, apresenta-se como umas das principais prioridades nas agendas polĂticas dos paĂses de todo o mundo. Partindo da premissa de que este fenĂłmeno Ă© composto por uma relação disfuncional entre vĂtima e agressor, Ă© fundamental o estudo das partes envolvidas.
Neste sentido, a presente investigação teve como principal finalidade desenvolver o estudo do tema do papel do agressor na violĂȘncia domĂ©stica conjugal em Portugal. O presente estudo pretendeu descortinar e compreender quais sĂŁo as causas que motivam uma pessoa a agredir a sua companheira conjugal, de modo a traçar um perfil caracterĂstico das motivaçÔes do agressor e auxiliar na criação de polĂticas pĂșblicas e mecanismos que possibilitem a mitigação deste fenĂłmeno social. Neste seguimento, o presente estudo teve como objetivo a resposta Ă seguinte pergunta de investigação: âQuais as causas que motivam um indivĂduo a agredir a sua companheira conjugal?â.
A presente investigação enquadrou-se num estudo empĂrico alicerçado no mĂ©todo qualitativo, que pretendeu recolher, avaliar e refletir sobre dados provenientes da tĂ©cnica de entrevistas semiestruturadas, com o intervalo de duração aproximado de 45 minutos a uma hora, que o investigador realizou a agressores conjugais, legalmente enquadrados. A amostra considerada neste estudo foi de 4 indivĂduos do sexo masculino, entre os 53 e 68 anos, que foram condenados a medidas alternativas Ă prisĂŁo ou em cumprimento de suspensĂŁo provisĂłria do processo. O programa de intervenção selecionado foi o programa CONTIGO, que incide sobre agressores residentes no concelho de Cascais.
Os resultados obtidos demonstraram uma tendĂȘncia preponderante da amostra considerada para transferir a culpabilidade dos atos para a ex-companheira. A causa maioritĂĄria que os levou a agredir a ex-companheira foi as açÔes das mesmas. Por fim, estes programas de intervenção mostram-se, segundos os entrevistados, eficazes nos seus planos de ação.
The phenomenon of domestic violence, as a violation of human rights, continues to grow constantly and, for this reason, it is one of the main priorities in the political agendas of countries around the world. Starting from the premise that this phenomenon is composed of a dysfunctional relationship between victim and aggressor, it is essential to study the parties involved. In this sense, the main purpose of this investigation was to develop the study of the role of the aggressor in conjugal domestic violence in Portugal. The present study intended to uncover and understand what are the causes that motivate a person to attack his marital partner, in order to draw a characteristic profile of the aggressor's motivations and help in the creation of public policies and changes that allow the mitigation of this social phenomenon. In this regard, the present study aimed to answer the following research question: âWhat are the causes that motivate an individual to join his marital partner?â. The present investigation was part of an empirical study based on the qualitative method, which intended to collect, evaluate and reflect on the data from the method of semi-structured technical interviews, with an approximate duration interval of 45 minutes to one hour at the most, that the researcher participated to conjugal aggressors, legally framed. The sample considered in this study consisted of 4 male individuals, between 53 and 68 years old, who were convicted in alternative measures to prison or in compliance with a provisional suspension of the process. The intervention program selected was the CONTIGO program, which focuses on aggressors residing in the municipality of Cascais. The results obtained showed a predominant tendency of the considered sample to transfer the guilt of the acts to the ex-partner. The main cause that led them to attack the ex-partner was their actions. Finally, these intervention programs are, according to the interviewees, effective in their action plans.
