| dc.description.abstract | A presente investigação teve como propósito determinar de que forma a expansão da utilização da framework Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) na Direção de Comunicações e Sistemas de Informação (DCSI), poderá contribuir para a melhoria dos serviços de comunicações e sistemas de informação na Força Aérea Portuguesa. Através de uma estratégia de investigação mista e seguindo um raciocínio dedutivo, este estudo de caso teve como objetivo geral analisar a viabilidade da expansão da framework ITIL, contribuindo para a melhoria dos serviços disponibilizados pela DCSI, subdividindo-se nos objetivos específicos de (1) medir o nível de maturidade dos atuais processos e funções da framework ITIL, implementados na DCSI e (2) identificar as possibilidades de melhoria dos Sistemas de Informação/Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicações (SI/TIC) na FA através da expansão da framework ITIL. Os dados recolhidos permitiram concluir quais as debilidades existentes na gestão dos SI/TIC da DCSI, que podem ser corrigidas, quer com o aumento da maturidade dos processos atualmente implementados, quer com a expansão da plataforma aos vários departamentos da DCSI, de modo a melhorar a qualidade dos serviços de comunicações e sistemas de informação. São também apresentadas recomendações no sentido de um possível aproveitamento das conclusões deste trabalho de investigação. Abstract: The present research aims to determine how the expansion of the use of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework in the Communications and Information Systems Division (DCSI), could contribute to the improvement of communication services and information systems in the Portuguese Air Force. Through a mixed research strategy and following a deductive reasoning, this case study had as general objective to analyze the feasibility of the expansion of the ITIL framework, contributing to the improvement of the services provided by the DCSI, subdividing itself into the specific objectives of measuring the level of maturity of the current processes and functions of the ITIL framework, implemented in DCSI and identify the possibilities for improvement of Information Systems / Information and Communications Technology (IS/ICT) services in Portuguese Air Force through the expansion of the ITIL framework. The data collected allowed to conclude what are the weaknesses in the management of DCSI IS/ICT, which can be corrected either by increasing the maturity of the currently implemented processes or by expanding the platform to the various DCSI departments in order to improve quality of communications services and information systems. Recommendations are also presented for a possible use of the conclusions of this research. | pt_PT |
